Conference of regioNet subproject: „Clusters and networks as successful drivers of regional development – experiences of the Małopolska Region”
On the 9th March 2012 the regioNet partner – Malopolska Regional Development Agency hosted the interregional conference „Clusters and networks as successful drivers of regional development – experiences of the Małopolska Region”. The event was a part of interregional meeting of regioNet partners that took place on the 15th –16th March 2012 in Krakow.On the 9th March 2012 the regioNet partner – Malopolska Regional Development Agency hosted the interregional conference „Clusters and networks as successful drivers of regional development – experiences of the Małopolska Region”. The event was a part of interregional meeting of regioNet partners that took place on the 15th –16th March 2012 in Krakow.
During the meeting the perspectives of development of clusters and networks in Poland were presented, as well as the experiences of the Małopolska Region in the field of clusters creation. Among the conference participants there were representatives of the partner regions of Saxony and Cluj County, who presented the regions and the activities of regional clusters.
Ms Joanna Podgórska – Deputy Director of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Support of the Polish Agency of Entrepreneurship Development presented the plan of clusters’ support in Poland up to 2020. Representatives of regional institutions like the Marshal Office of the Małopolska Region and the Kraków Municipality Office presented regional policies of clusters support.
The Małopolska Regional Development Agency shared its experiences in realization of projects supporting regional entrepreneurship - Capital Investment Fund and the Programme of scientists internships in regional companies.
The conference participants had also an opportunity to acquaint with regional examples of successful clusters initiatives - LifeScience Cluster, European Academy of Games and European Game Cluster.
The Małopolska Regional Development Agency organised also a study visit for regioNet Partners who acquainted with the activities of the Centre Business in Małopolska and Alvernia Film Studios.
